8560 EC Series Spectrum Analyzer
• high sensitivity, wide dynamic
range
• phase noise: <–113 dBc/Hz at
10 kHz, 1 GHz
• displayed average noise level:
–151 dBm
• 1 Hz resolution bandwidth (RBW)
• OBW/ACP measurement functions
• time-gated function
Agilent 8560 EC Series spectrum
analyzers offer a solution for adjacent
channel power (ACP) testing of
bursted carrier signals using digital
modulation, such as time-division
multiple access (TDMA) and time
division complex (TDD).
The 8560 EC Series allows measure-
ments from 0.10 to 99.99% occupied
bandwidth.

N4256A Amplifier Distortion Test Set
• extend measurement dynamic
range for IMD and other amplifier
distortion measurements
• 500 MHz to 4 GHz frequency range
• designed to extend dynamic
range performance of Agilent
PSA and ESA series spectrum
analyzers
• reduces signal generator
distortion products
The Agilent N4256A amplifier distor-
tion test set improves dynamic range
of spectrum analyzer based distortion
measurements that are made on
today’s ultra-linear 3G power
amplifiers. The N4256A utilizes a
feed-forward cancellation technique to
minimize signal generator distortion
products and to improve spectrum
analyzer dynamic range for IMD and
ACPR measurements. Measurement
dynamic range improvements as great
as 25 dB are typical. The N4256A
allows you to make distortion
measurements where the distortion
products are no longer buried in the
spectrum analyzer’s noise floor,
which results in improved
measurement uncertainty.
