To provide a stressed signal means:

 Set up a specified minimum voltage swing.

 Set up crosstalk to interfere at some specified frequency to a given maximum

amplitude.

 Create sinusoidal and random jitter components to a specified minimum.

 Provide a channel distortion (Inter Symbol Interference) to some specified amount.
