Introduction
Overview
• Agilent B1500A Semiconductor Device Analyzer
Mainframe that provides the ground unit (GNDU) and ten empty slots for the
measurement f
acilities, and Agilent EasyEXPERT software for the operating
environment. The EasyEXPERT is the GUI based measurement control and
analysis software runs on the Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
The B1500A is equipped with the 15 inch LCD with touch panel, hard disk
drive, DVD-ROM/C
D-ROM/CD-RW drive, and USB/LAN/GP-IB interfaces.
The USB keyboard, the USB mouse, and the stylus pen are available as option.
• Agilent B1510A HPSMU module
High power source/monitor unit module. Occupies two slots.
• Agilent B1511A MPSMU module
Medium power source/monitor unit module. Occupies one slot.
• Agilent B1517A HRSMU module
High resolution source/monitor unit module. Occupies one slot. Needs Agilent

U to perform atto level current measurement or automatic switching
of the measurement resource connection.
• Agilent B1520A MFCMU module
Multi frequency capacitance measurement unit module. Occupies one slot.
Needs Agil
ent N1301A-100 SCUU to perform automatic switching of the
measurement resource connection.
• Agilent B1525A SPGU module
High voltage semiconductor pulse generator unit module. Occupies one slot. Up
to five modul
es can be installed in one B1500A mainframe. One module
provides two output channels. Needs Agilent 16440A and 16445A to perform
automatic switching of the measurement resource connection.
• Agilent B1530A WGFMU module and Agilent B1531A RSU
Waveform generator/fast measurement unit modu
le and the remote-sense and
switch unit. Occupies one slot. Up to five modules can be installed in one
B1500A mainframe. One module provides two channels. See Agilent B1530A
User’s Guide for using the WGFMU.
• Agilent 16440A SMU/Pulse Generator Selector
Used to switch the measurement resource connected to the DUT
. The
measurement resource can be SPGU or SMU. Needs the 16445A adapter to use
the selector. One selector provides two switching channels.
